Research Psychologist

Robin Kaplan earned her PhD in Psychology at the University of California, Irvine in 2013, and now works as a Research Psychologist in the Office of Survey Methods Research at the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) in Washington, DC. She does research on the cognitive factors that affect how people respond to survey questions, and is interested in the interplay between survey design and usability. She has worked on a number of projects to help improve the usability of websites, tools, and survey instruments at BLS.
