Jean Fox has been a User Experience Specialist at the Bureau of Labor Statistics for more than 19 years. She works on both the design and the evaluation of BLS systems for data collection, analysis, and dissemination. Recently, she conducted usability tests on a number of advanced systems used by highly educated statisticians, mathematicians, and economists to analyze large quantities of BLS data and to formulate BLS indexes. She found that testing these complex systems had unique and interesting challenges.
Jean is also the Treasurer for UXPA and she co-chairs the Federal government’s User Experience Community of Practice. Jean holds BS, MS, and PhD degrees in Human Factors.
