Smitha Prasadh has been involved in UX for a decade. She has a master’s degree in human-centered design from Carnegie Mellon and a bachelor’s degree in media/technology studies (and a minor in Japanese) from Georgia Tech. In her current role at Autodesk, she does end-to-end design on, and is lead researcher for, a suite of reality capture software. She loves to give back through mentorship among designers and the broader community, conference talks, and general “design evangelism,” and is passionate about positioning design and design thinking for the greater good. An Atlanta native, she currently lives in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and has also lived in Boston, Ohio, and rural Japan. Outside of work, she loves playing violin and viola; doing long urban walks and hikes; doting on her cat, Neville (named after the Harry Potter character!); and traveling any chance she can get.
